3DS MAX/V-RAY CHALLENGING COURSE V1.0
The workshop will challenge participants to create abstract environments onto the 3DS max platform. Efforts will be focused on experimenting with different visual techniques. An introduction to materials and shading methods will be presented using the V-Ray engine. The course will also concentrate on acquiring skills in V-Ray setup menu, using lights and cameras, creating compositions and impressive atmosphere. Finally, a short lesson on post-production using Photoshop will give participants the opportunity to adjust their rendered images and enhance their quality resulting in consistent and complete CG visuals, which perfectly represent their own ideas.
Daily meetings from 10:00 to 18:00h at Union of Architects in Bulgaria, Sofia, Krakra 11 Str.
For attending the workshop there is no previous software experience required.
Participants need to bring their own laptops or workstations.
Drinks and lunch snacks are included.
Yavor Stoykov is a 3D Artist with 6 years of experience in the field of 3D Modeling. He holds a Master’s degree from the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy. Before joining Chaos Group, he has worked at an architectural studio. Yavor joined the Chaos Group 3D artists team in 2010. Since then, he has been one of the main driving forces behind the creation of the V-Ray Training Programs.
MArch Architectural Structures UACEG
Konstantin graduated with a master’s degree in Architecture from UACEG – Sofia Bulgaria, in February 2012.His diploma project “Flower of the Desert” (designing a futuristic city in a building) was awarded with Honorary Diploma of Chamber of the Architects in Bulgaria and the Municipality of Sofia and was published in various architecture and design magazines. Konstantin served as a tutor for the 1st Generative Morphologies Workshop and has participated in a series of architectural and design competitions and exhibitions such as eVolo Skyscraper Competition 2013, The New Sofia exhibition 2012 and others. Since his graduation, Konstantin is working mainly in the field of architectural visualizations and interior design and he is involved in teaching.
Since 2011, Svetlozar is a graduated architect from UACEG Sofia. He did his master degree in the Architectural technology department studying and analyzing stadium structures and technology in sports facilities. During his studies he participated in numerous architectural competitions and has been awarded first prize in the Aquapuls Design Award for modern approach on architectural valuable designs of municipal waste water treatment plants in 2009. His passion in the field of Computer Graphic visualisation brought him into one of the best CG practices – REDVERTEX, where he spent 4 years mastering his skills in architectural visualizations, animation and post-production on mainly large scale projects and master plans. Svetlozar is currently working in London-Bulgaria based studio Artray working mainly in the fields of architectural visualization.

MArch History & Theory UACEG
Georgi Kunchev is currently working as a Principal Architect at Stephen George International. He was part of the visualizations team CGI Source focused on architectural visualizations and marketing images for some of the biggest UK architectural studios. He graduated from the UACEG, Sofia, with a Master’s degree from the Department of History and Theory of Architecture in 2013. With a team of colleagues from Atelier 3, Georgi won the First Prize Award for the Plovdiv Palace of Couture. They also participated in the competitions for the National Exhibition Centre in Sofia, the Plovdiv central square, the Bologna shoah memorial and the Preston bus station. Georgi also took part in the Generative Morphologies Workshop 2014 with an interpretation of Buckminster Fuller’s Jitterbug. Moreover, he contributed in HyperCell’s Final Project Presentation at the AADRL.

MArch Interior Design UACEG
Radul is currently working on his PhD thesis concerning applications of the parametric design in interior spaces. He has completed with Honors his master’s degree in Architecture in the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy, Sofia, in 2013, Department of Interior Architecture and Design. He has been actively practicing as an architect, designing and realizing various projects such as restaurants, TV studios, office and residential buildings. In 2014, Radul participated in Design Morphine’s workshop Generative Morphologies. His project was published and exhibited as part of The City Exhibition 2014 which took place on Blv. Vitosha, Sofia.
